Support from the Nevis Government

The announcement was also highlighted by Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley during a recent press conference. He expressed pride in welcoming Winair back to the island after several years of absence.

Premier Brantley stated, “I’m proud to announce that Winair is resuming operations direct from Sint Maarten to Nevis on March 15th. So that is within the next two weeks, we expect to welcome the airline back.”

He explained that Winair had previously withdrawn its services due to low passenger demand but emphasized that circumstances have changed. “We feel now, four years later, that we are in a much better position and that our people have been sensitized to the need to use the service,” he said.

Encouraging Travel with Low Introductory Fares

To promote strong passenger turnout, Premier Brantley confirmed that the airline will introduce extremely low introductory fares. These attractive rates aim to encourage residents and tourists alike to take advantage of the renewed service.
