Another appeal by the governing St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Administration for young people to establish their own businesses by taking advantage of the positive investment climate as the transformation of the local economy continues.
Cabinet during its routine meeting on Monday granted tax concessions to six small and medium local businesses, two of which were completely new.
“Government applauds the young individuals involved for taking an important step towards greater self-empowerment and for displaying a high level of confidence in the future of the local economy,” said Minister of State for Information, Sen. the Hon. Nigel Carty.
The Cabinet, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas has implored young people in particular and all nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis in general, to plan to take advantage of the numerous business opportunities that are being created in the new post-sugar economy.
Minister Carty disclosed that among those businesses that benefited from the tax concessions are businesses involved in the delivery of tourism, beauty and well-ness services and businesses involved manufacturing.
