Crews of seven luxury yachts from around the world were among boating enthusiasts, artistes, residents, government officials and musicians attending last Thursday’s “Rendezvous” event at Christophe Harbour on St. Kitts’ Southeast Peninsular.

The yachts anchored in Whitehouse Bay for the day, in order for their staff to come shore to experience the natural beauty of St. Kitts and inspect the plans for the Christophe Harbour yacht harbour and marina. The yachts came from all over the globe.

The yacht crews were drawn to St. Kitts and Nevis from afar by the prospect of a Caribbean port of call that will be capable of providing even the largest private vessels with superior service and state-of-the art technology.

The Christophe Harbour marina and yacht harbour, when launched in 2011 with the other resort components, will accommodate vessels up to 300 ft. in length and offer commercial and technical advantages that are unique to the region’s boating communities.

These capabilities are expected to further raise the appeal of the twin islands as a singular destination for all types of boat owners, their guests, and crews.

Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas and Minister of State for Tourism, Sports and Culture, Sen. the Hon. Richard “Ricky” Skerritt were among a wide cross section of the St. Kitts and Nevis community that attended the event at which Anguilla’s reggae superstar performing along with St. Kitts’ Lights Out Band.

Christophe Harbour officials said the event was planned to highlight its planned mega-yacht marina, which will be the centerpiece of the much talked about resort.

When completed, Christophe Harbour’s 2,500-acre development will encompass the mega-yacht harbour and marina village, hotels, oceanfront homes, luxury villas, hotel residences, a Tom Fazio Championship 18-hole golf course, shopping, and more.

The development will result in the creation of an incomparable seaside resort that will bring the twin islands to the forefront of destinations across the world, and revolutionise luxury travel in the Caribbean. Christophe Harbour has already received international media coverage in all corners of the globe.
