St. Kitts – Nevis Hosts 20,000 Cruise Passengers This Week

Just over twenty thousand cruise passengers visited St. Kitts this week.
Information from St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports (SCASPA) officials indicate 20,107 passengers visited from 12 cruise ships.
On Friday, the 3,050 Carnival Victory arrived from St. Lucia with 3,188 passengers and 1,266-passenger Maasdam arrived from St. Croix with 1201 passengers.
Four ships in port on Wednesday brought 6,064 passengers. The 2,600-passenger capacity Grand Princess brought 2,613 passengers; the 3,070-passenger capacity Emerald Princess had on board 3,095 passengers; the 228-passenger capacity Royal Clipper, 161 passengers and the 208-passenger capacity Seabourne Legend, 195 passengers.
Visiting Tuesday were the 2,850-passenger capacity Celebrity Equinox with 2,856 passengers and the 694-passenger capacity Azamara Journeys with 660 passengers.
The lone ship docking on Monday at Port Zante was the 2,038-passenger Celebrity Mercury with 2014 passengers while on Sunday, the 2,124-passenger Carnival Miracle had 2,215 passengers on board; the 1,896-passenger Celebrity Mercury docked with 1,766 passengers and the 308-passenger capacity Wind Spirit with 143 passengers.
Most of the passengers came ashore and went sight-seeing via the Scenic Railway, taxis and tour buses; sun and sea bathing, sailing, zip-lining, snorkeling, horseback riding, hiking and shopping.
