Cruise Passengers Enjoy A Catamaran Tour

The number of cruise passengers visiting St. Kitts – Nevis in January this year amounted to 74,316, an increase of 13,337 or 21.87 percent over the same month in 2008 when 60,979 visited.
Figures obtained from the Department of Finance and Statistics at the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) said the number of cruise ships visiting in January this year was 40 compared to 34 in January 2008.
The number of yachts visiting St. Kitts also increased from 18 in January 2008 to 46 in January, 2009, while the number of yacht passengers went from 29 in January 2008 to 69 in January 2009.
Norwegian cruise line accounted for 24,882 passengers with Emerald Princess bringing 6,371 passengers, Grand Princess, 5,224, Oceana, 2,017, Ocean Village 5,100 and Ventura, 3,036 passengers.
Royal Caribbean/Celebrity Cruise line brought in 17,182 passengers. Celebrity Galaxy had on 3,877; Celebrity Solstice, 5,625, Constellation, 4,041; Mariner of the Seas, 1,787 and Vision of the Seas, 1,852.
