Independence Theme Contest Announced
Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Geoffrey Hanley invited the people of St. Kitts and Nevis to enter the 40th Independence Day (#ad) Anniversary Theme competition, marking the twin-island Federation’s milestone on September 19, 2023.
Deputy PM Hanley encouraged citizens to craft a memorable theme, emphasizing the significance of this historic celebration. The winning entry will receive a $1,500 EC prize, inspiring participants to showcase their creativity and patriotism.
Competition guidelines were shared via the Minister’s official Facebook account, stipulating that themes should be concise, capturing the essence of the country’s 40-year journey towards independence and its future aspirations.
Participants must submit their entries via email to [email protected], including their names, addresses, and contact numbers. Both citizens and residents of St. Kitts and Nevis are eligible to enter, with the winner expected to engage in specific Independence 40 activities.
The submission deadline is MIDNIGHT, Sunday, April 30, 2023, with late entries ineligible for consideration.
St. Kitts and Nevis annually commemorate their independence through various events, including National Heroes Day, National Colours Day, and an Independence Wellness Walk, reflecting on the nation’s freedom and achievements.
