The dates for the 2010 14th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival have been announced as June 24th to 26th .

These dates immediately follow the dates recently announced by the West Indies Cricket Board for the Second Test Match between West Indies and South Africa, which will also be hosted at Warner Park, St. Kitts from June 18th to 22nd.

That announcement was made by Senator Ricky Skerritt, the Minister responsible for Tourism, Sports & Culture as he jubilantly revealed the opportunity next year for lovers of Caribbean cricket and music to combine their two hobbies in the same visit to St. Kitts.

According to the Senator, this represents seven days of first-rate cricket and internationally acclaimed music over a period of just nine days.

“This will also be a wonderful opportunity for Kittitians and Nevisians in the Diaspora, as well as other Caribbean nationals abroad, to return home to witness what should be a memorable battle between the West Indies and South Africa and then stay on for the St. Kitts Music Festival which follows just two nights later,” Skerritt said.

The second test match in St. Kitts is schedule to end on Tuesday June 22nd, and on the Thursday night of that same week, St. Kitts Music Festival will explode into action, with world-renowned entertainers taking center stage.

The St. Kitts Music Festival is the most diversified musical show in the Caribbean and is a three-day extravaganza filled with exhilarating musical local, regional and international performances.

“World class cricket, mixed with electrifying music makes St. Kitts the place to be in the summer of 2010,” Senator Skerritt said. “Indeed, these two major events over a nine day period will further strengthen the international stature of our tourism product.”
