The Republic of China on Taiwan is of the view that the twin-island federation will continue to prosper under the leadership of Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.
“I am sure that under your outstanding leadership, the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis will continue to progress and prosper in all respects,” said Premier of the Republic of China, His Excellency Wu Den-yih.
In his message to Prime Minister Douglas to mark the 26th Anniversary of Independence, the Taiwanese Premier told Dr. Douglas that he trust that the cordial relations and cooperation between our two countries will be further strengthened in the years to come.”
Taiwan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Timothy Chin-tien Yang also expressed confidence that the cordial and cooperative relations will be further consolidated in the years to come.”
Prime Minister of Jamaica, the Hon. Bruce Golding told Prime Minister Douglas that St. Kitts and Nevis enjoy friendly relations and share much in common as members of the Caribbean Community.
“I look forward to our continued collaboration on issues, as we advance the work of the Caribbean Community and improve the welfare of our peoples,” said Prime Minister Golding.
Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, His Excellency Kim Yong I, in his congratulatory message wished Prime Minister Douglas success in his work for the progress and development of the country.
Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions (CCCU), Mr. Peter Etienne in extending congratulations to Prime Minister Douglas wished that St. Kitts and Nevis “continue to experience economic growth under your esteemed leadership as you weather the global economic recession and steer this twin-island Federation to prosperity.”
“We pray that God will continue to provide His guidance to the government Ministers as you all take the Federation to a path of progress and development,” said the top regional Credit Union official.
