The Reggae Beach Bar – St. Kitts
I am so looking forward to seeing this place! When on Nevis I very rarely ventured to Kitts…except to go to Turtle Beach Bar. Gary Pereira, the previous owner of Turtle Beach, built this place up, and it was GREAT. Turtle Beach has now been purchased by an American company….there goes the neighborhood :)
However, now Gary has a new place Reggae Beach Bar…..and I just know it will be GREAT. Here is a bit of info I have on St. Kitts latest-greatest place to lime.
The new REGGAE BEACH BAR is planning to open on Thursday, November 8th, 2007!
They have eight of the former Turtle Beach staff who have been on retainers since they closed Turtle Beach Bar & Grill in August and four new ones who will be working between Reggae Beach Bar at Port Zante and Reggae Beach Bar & Grill at Cockleshell Bay
“They intend to take their years of experience from Turtle Beach and improve on their legacy of making the place an even more memorable experience.”
Great news, Wilbur the pig will be joining them at their new location!!
oliver the orphan monkey was adorable!!! so was shane. willbur seeemed to be doing great.
i am not being a hater the food is beautiful but gary u have to clean up u cook(bughead) he look dirty terible tell him to groom himself before attending work.
but other than that loving it
We fly out tommorow, and although we haven’t posted since we asked when it would open, I was checking to be sure it was, and am so excited that it is. Doug Waldie–we will let you know how our triplets rate the experience.
We like the new place, but sure miss the old Turtle Beach. Glad to see Gary has most of the same staff though. We will still be visitors, but long for the old days when we could water-taxi from Oualie Beach to Turtle Beach and back.
Good luck with the new venture Gary :)
Reggae Beach Bar is open and going strong. Very busy when the cruise ships are in port. Wilbur is still liming somewhere at Turtle Beach… :)
Chris, we have 9 year old triplets we’ve been telling the same thing too.. I couldn’t help notice you had trips… We’re from Syvlania Ohio and my father in law owns a villa on the island.. we’ve gone back almost every year for the past 10 years… Our triplets are just now getting old enough to travel and enjoy the island.. sounds like you have a similar story.. Doug Waldie..
Gary–are you open yet? We are planning a spring break trip, and my 10 year old triplets have been asking about Wilbur, the cats and the monkeys since two years ago.
I too can’t wait to visit Reggae Beach Bar!
Bring a flag from your state, province, country or favourite sports team and Gary will gladly hang it in the bar.
