The St. Kitts Tourism Authority is reporting positive feedback as a result of its participation in the New York Travel Show.

“I have gotten nothing but positive feedback from the show, and I truly believe that St. Kitts gained greatly as a preferred tourist destination,” said the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, Rosecita Jeffers.

The New York Travel Show is considered to be the largest travel trade and consumer show in the United States, attracting over 500 tourism boards, destinations, operators, outfitters, and spas from around the globe.

The St. Kitts Tourism Authority booth at the show had the words “Feel the Warmth” encased in ice as the center piece.

Candice Adams Kimmel, President of Adams Unlimited, the New York-based public relations firm contracted by the St. Kitts Tourism Authority said the booth was well “organized, eye-catching and classy.”

“It provided a space where it was easy to let yourself be transported to the islands (St. Kitts and Nevis). The new St. Kitts backdrop complimented that of Nevis and the ice sculpture with both logos embedded in the ice tied the two islands together in a most effective and again classy manner. The play of words of having “Feel the Warmth” embedded in ice was commented upon over and over again,” said Kimmel.

To showcase the rich culture and heritage of the Federation, the St. Kitts Tourism Authority made full use of the stage with a sensational performance by the masqueraders.

“The masquerades were popular with the crowd and worked well to engage the audience,” she said.
