Verna Grante – Miss Caribbean Culture Contestant

Ms Culture 2010-2011, Verna Grante, will on July 23 and July 25 represent her homeland, Nevis, in the sixth annual Caribbean Culture Queen Pageant.
Ms. Grante, who wowed patrons last year during Nevis’ 36th celebration of Culturama, will join 10 delegates from across the Caribbean region on Saturday [July 23] for the swimwear and ambassadorial wear segments.
In addition to being crowned queen, Ms. Grante secured prizes for the talent and interview segments in last year’s Ms. Culture Queen Pageant.
According to the pageant’s Chief Executive Officer [CEO], Mr. Randy Jeffers, “the Caribbean Culture Queen Pageant has established itself as one of the leading pageants in the region.”
The grand finale, which comprises of the talent, evening wear and interview segments would be presented on Monday [July 25] at the Cultural Complex on Nevis.
While on Nevis, the contestants would be treated by Nevis’ Premier, the Honourable Joseph Parry and his wife Mrs. Myrthlyn Parry, to a reception at the Oualie Beach Resort.
Also vying for the Caribbean Culture Queen title are Ms. Anguilla Shellya Rogers, Ms. Barbados Dannyele Teneel Leslie, Ms. St. Lucia Iva Christina Satney, Ms. Trinidad and Tobago Kia Joachim, Ms. Dominica Jacintha Fagan, Ms. Montserrat Robekah Lindsey, Ms. Jamaica Roneisha James, Ms. St. Kitts Abigail Liburd, Ms. Guyana Kiswana Abimola Jefford and Ms. St. Vincent Sheridan Haynes.
Ms Anguilla Sangrena Harris is the reigning Caribbean Culture queen.
