Premier of Nevis, the Honourable Joseph Parry and Cabinet Secretary in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA), Mr. Ashley Farrell will be leaving the Federation with a Federal delegation on Thursday, March 6th, to attend the Nineteenth Inter-Sessional Meeting of Caricom Heads of Government taking place in the Bahamas, Friday, March 7th and Saturday, March 8th, 2008.
The meeting will take place at the Sheraton Cable Beach Resort, in The Bahamas, where all delegates will be accommodated.
Presentations will be made by Heads of Government on various issues relating to the Caribbean, among them being: Human Resource Development, Health and HIV/AIDS, Free Movement of Skilled Community Nationals and Crime and Security.
Last year, the Eighteenth Inter-Sessional Meeting for the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (Caricom) was held 12-14 February in Kingstown, St.Vincent.
Among the issues discussed at last year’s meeting were: Caricom Single Market and Economy, Free Movement, Developments related to Agriculture, Energy, Regional Air and Maritime Transport, Governance of the Community, Cricket, Health and Haiti.
