St. Kitts – Nevis Attorney General – Patrice Nisbett

Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Joseph Parry spoke of the multiple accomplishments of the Attorney General of St. Kitts – Nevis, Hon. Patrice Nisbett at an anniversary celebration event held in his honor last Wednesday night at the V.O.J.N Primary School.
The Premier told those present at the community meeting that the Hon. Nisbett has worked hard for the people of Nevis.
“Mr. Nisbett has gone beyond the call of duty by working hard to ensure that geothermal was in the hands of Nevisians, unlike the previous contract constructed by the Administration of the then Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM)-led government, which gave geothermal to St. Kitts,” remarked the Premier.
Mr. Parry further said that the Hon. Nisbett was the legal mind and negotiator behind Phase III of the Island Main Road and also crafted legislation for devolution of power which would give Nevis the autonomy to handle its own affairs in relation to Police, Education and tax collection among others.
According to the Premier, the Hon. Patrice Nisbett had also spoken up for the people of St. James Parish tirelessly, even though he was not the local representative of that area.
“Mr. Nisbett has ensured that increased housing, affordable land for first time buyers, training of young people from St. James and designating the Drag strip in St. James in order to bring job opportunities to the people of that area first.
“In addition to that, Mr. Nisbett has sought financial assistance for education, school meals and quality roads which was also granted to the people of St. James,” said Premier Parry.
During the meeting, a number of persons from the audience asked questions and congratulated Mr. Nisbett in celebration of his 10 years as a Federal Parliamentarian and for his appointment as the Federation’s Attorney General, a first for the St. James Parish.
While he spoke about his many accomplishments and his new position as Attorney General, the Hon. Patrice Nisbett said he became the man that he is today, thanks to his parents, great teachers and his uncle, Nevisian Lawyer, Mr. Jeffrey Nisbett, who he said had instilled in him great values and granted him the opportunity of gaining a solid University education.
“I am forever grateful for all the persons who have come into my life and led me to where I am today”, said Attorney General, Hon. Patrice Nisbett.
