Azamara Journey Cruise Ship, a product of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line is scheduled to visit Nevis on Thursday, December 1st, 2011 and Tourism Officials on Nevis have announced a change to a major traffic route in Charlestown.
According to Tourism Marketing Officer in the Ministry of Tourism Miss Tamica Lawrence, the move will be made to accommodate the vessel’s visit. She apologised to the public for any inconvenience the alteration may cause and spoke to the change.
“The Ministry of Tourism regrets to inform the general public that the entrance to Prince Williams Street, going towards the Bay Front will be closed to accommodate the cruise ship,” she said.
The Azamara Journey is scheduled to call on Nevis from 8:00 am and is expected to depart at 5:00 pm.
Meantime, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line representatives boast of the Azamara Journey as a traditional cruise experience in an intimate environment.
