Christmas Crafts at Library In Charlestown
Charlestown, Nevis
December 23, 2009
Friday 18 December marked the end of the annual Library Christmas Craft Workshop at the Charlestown and Gingerland Public Libraries.
According to Librarian at the Gingerland Branch Library Mrs. Evette Liburd, the workshops were geared towards fostering creativity and encouraging socialisation among the children.
The programme, which began on Monday 14th December, saw the participation of 28 students from the Gingerland area while the Charlestown workshop attracted over 40 participants.
The students who attended the Gingerland workshop displayed their creativity through their creations of Christmas decorations, flowers, wreaths, angels and stars.
The focus of the Christmas workshop in Charlestown allowed for each child to decorate his or her own Christmas tree.
The week-long workshop culminated with an art and craft exhibition and closing ceremony at both library branches.
