In an effort to resolve the existing crime situation on Nevis, the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) and members of the police force will meet with the private sector at the Nevis Credit Union Conference room on Chapel Street in Charlestown at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2008.

The panellists for this symposium will be the Premier of Nevis, Hon. Joseph Parry, Junior Minister of Security, the Hon. Dwight Cozier, Cabinet Secretary in the Nevis Island Administration, Mr. Ashley Farrell, Legal Adviser, Hon. Patrice Nisbett and Superintendent of Police in Nevis, Mr. Samuel Seabrooks.

“We look forward to the participation of all parties as we strive to preserve a peaceful Nevis,” said Premier Parry.

Mr. Parry went on to say, that he is confident that out of this meeting will come some positive ideas and solutions, so that crime does not increase and become rampant on the island.
