Premier Parry To Be Guest Speaker At Conference

Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Joseph Parry will be a guest speaker at the Methodist Church, Leeward Islands District Conference Welcome Service on Wednesday, January 14. The service will have in attendance more than fifty members of the clergy from overseas, as well as local religious leaders and their congregations.
The week of activities will be held from January 14th-22nd, 2009.
In addition to the welcome service, there will be a Flag Raising ceremony on January 15th at 9:00am, an open air service at the Cenotaph in Charlestown at 4pm on January 16th, and a Welcome Cocktail hosted by the Deputy Governor, the Hon. Eustace John, on January 17th. There will also be a Youth Demonstration at the Netball Complex at 4:30pm, January 18th. Daily morning devotions will take place at the Combermere, Charlestown and Gingerland Methodist Churches, January 20th. On January 21, there will be the Men’s Meeting at Trinity and a Women’s meeting at Combermere at 7:00pm. The week of activities culminates on January 22, with a communion service at the Gingerland Methodist Church.
