March 09, 2009 (CUOPM)
Another cruise ship is making an unscheduled visit to St. Kitts on Tuesday.
It has been confirmed that the 82,500-ton MS Noordam of the Holland American Line will berth at Port Zante instead of going to the French island of Martinique due to continued industrial action there.
The Noordam has a capacity of 1,918 passengers and will be joined by the 2,450-passenger Constellation. On Monday, the 1,375-passenger Boudicca docked at Port Zante.
The unrest in the two French Caribbean islands has resulted in the 78,000-ton Vision of the Seas, to make four unscheduled call to St. Kitts. The other calls will take place on March 4th and 18th and April 4th.
Four ships will be in port on Wednesday 11th March, the 2,850-passenger Solstice, the 2,281-passenger Galaxy, the 255-passenger Royal Clipper and the 200-passenger Seabourn Legend.
