Land distribution must be used as a vehicle to keep the St. Kitts and Nevis economy buoyant.
Prime Minister and Minister of Sustainable Development, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas told the Cabinet on Monday that land distribution continues to be a top priority of his St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Administration and that all bureaucratic red tape is being removed to ensure the expeditious settlement of requests for land for residential, farming and commercial activities.
The Prime Minister emphasised that in these current economic times, land distribution must be used as a vehicle to keep the St. Kitts and Nevis economy buoyant through agriculture, tourism and construction.
Hundreds of acres of land have been distributed for commercial enterprises and business expansion, construction of residential homes and agriculture and livestock development.
