Laser 101 FM – St. Maarten

October 16, 2008

Well I tried in vain to listen in on any St. Kitts – Nevis radio station that has an on-line feed, but alas no luck.

I was however able to listen in on Laser 101 FM out of St Maarten.  St. Maarten seemed to fare well, and being that St. Kitts – Nevis is farther South than SXM, (Hurricane Omar passed North of SXM) I suspect that the Federation should have sutained very little structural damage.

I called into Laser 101 and was put on-air, and sent out a request for any SKNer’s to call in with reports.  I got one caller from St. Kitts who said that she lived in the “country” and did not see much damage but that the power was out.

Anybody who has any info on damages, I would apreciate your comments on this post.

Thanks and best wishes to all in the Federation :)

BTW Laser 101 FM is a great station http://www.laser101.fm

  1. Four Seasons is going to be closed until the beginning of next year. Coconut grove is pretty bad as it part of Nesbit’s. The double Deuce is gone as is part of sunshines. Several of the ferry boats to and from the islands were also beached. The debris on the beaches is pretty bad too.
