Government Lawyers To Hold Press Conference On Constitutional Matters

A leading Barbados attorney will be among local lawyers for the Attorney General of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Constituencies and Boundaries Commission meeting with the local press corps on Thursday.

Mr. Hal McL. Gallop, presently an Attorney-at-Law in private practice with a strong emphasis on criminal and civil litigation is a former facilitator in the Administrative Law Unit MBA Programme at the Cave Hill School of Business, a former lecturer and Course Director in Constitutional Law and a Tutor in Jurisprudence.

Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Mr. Erasmus Williams said Mr. Gallop will join General Counsel, His Excellency Ambassador Delano Bart, Q.C. and Mr. Sylvester Anthony at the Press Conference at 10:00 A.M.

“The lawyers will bring the people of the Federation up to date on the Constitutional matters now before the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal,” said Williams in a statement late Wednesday afternoon.

The Press Conference will be held in the Parliamentary Lounge, Government Headquarters and will be carried live on ZIZ Radio and Television and Sugar City Rock. Other stations have been invited to carry the live broadcast.
