People’s Action Movement Constituency One Representative, Glenroy Blanchette continues to express confidence at being elected as the parliamentary representative for his constituency.

Launching a stinging attack on Asim Martin criticized the Labour Party for its negativity towards the people of Constituency One. He said that since being elected Dr. Martin continues to fail in effectively representing the people of his constituency thus destroying the legacy of the Labour Party of its past leaders.

He pointed out that when he entered the political fray in 2004 he was referred to as “fresh face” because he was putting forwarding a number of fresh ideas. “However, let me say that I am still fresh face as I continue to bring forth fresh and innovative ideas that unfortunately Dr. Martin cannot do so I am confident that with your support I will win that seat,” he told supporters.

He stated that the party ought to be ashamed since for the 15 years that it has been in power it destroyed St Kitts and Nevis. He pointed out that reviewing the record of Dr.. Martin and the Labour Party would reveal that there have been no marked improvements in several sectors within the Federation.

He stressed the urgency for growth and development in the economy noting that it will be one of the significant developments to occur since PASM left office in 1995.

Criticizing Dr. Martin, Blanchette said that he was a failure in every Ministry that he assumed responsibility for.

He upbraided Dr.. Martin for his call to be given another term stressing that to do such would be to complete destroy Newton and the lives of its people. Blanchette further noted that the uttering of Dr. Martin on and off the campaign trail is similar to that of garbage stressing that he continues to spout “garbage”.

Blanchette urged his supporters to not be fooled by the gifts and promises of Dr. Martin noting that the same thing he did in 2004 with not one single promise being fulfilled. He extended an invitation to Dr. Martin to challenge his accusations that he and the Labour Party have failed to bring about any real development within the constituency.

He reminded supporters to go out in their numbers early on Election Day and put an end to inefficiencies and ineffectiveness by electing a PAM government so as to enhance the lives of all while ensuring that the days for victimization and discrimination are over.
