St. Kitts – Nevis – Agriculture Open Day 2023
The Ministry of Agriculture in the government of St Kitts and Nevis is hosting its annual Agriculture Open Day. This event reflects the ministry’s commitment to promoting self-sufficiency and food security in the twin island federation. The Royal Basseterre National Park will serve as the venue for this important gathering.
On April 27 and 28, 2023, stakeholders from the agricultural sector will come together for this two-day event. Farmers and other sector representatives will gather at the Royal Basseterre National Park to showcase and promote their agricultural products.
The Ministry of Agriculture in the Government of St Kitts and Nevis encourages the people of the federation to attend. The Agriculture Open Day will feature various entertainment options, including a Watermelon Eating Contest, Horseback Riding, Games, and other entertainment options, as well as Cultural Performances.
A raffle will also be part of the event. Tickets for the raffle can be obtained at the Dept of Agriculture, Dept of Marine Resources, and Public Market. The drawing date is scheduled for Friday, April 29, 2023.
Entry fees will be required for attendees. However, children wearing school uniforms will be granted free entry. Other children must pay an entry fee of EC $3, while adults are required to pay EC $5.
Farmers participating in the event at the Royal Basseterre National Park will have the opportunity to secure fair trade options for their produce. Available for sale at the event will be fresh produce, agro-processed goods, local meats, fresh fish, seafood (#ad), and more.
The Agriculture Open Day will take place from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on both Thursday, April 27, and Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Royal Basseterre National Park
