Some of the islands most beautiful, intelligent and talented young ladies were introduced to the media and the world as delegates of the 2009 Miss Personality and Marvelous Queen show. The cocktail and media launch took place at the popular Sprat Net Bar and Grill. The media launch began at 7pm while the cocktail started immediately following at around 8pm . The media launch was geared towards introducing the young ladies to the media and the world through Informal interaction with media personnel, the chaperones, the organizers of the event the Young and Energized Core as well as sponsors and contributors.
Last year’s winner Miss Nakita Belizaire was featured at the event
The delegates for this year show are Norella Williams,Roslyn Berkely,Betania Seaton, Juliana Josephs,Grace Percival Chelsea Williams and Tarisha Wilson.
The spectacularly talented and beautiful young ladies will be competing in 4 categories namely Personality Speech, Talent, Creative Wear and Evening wear.
“We intend to exceed the standard of last year’s event as we have heightened our emphasis on grooming the young ladies and choreographing the entire show including the stage management of the show including the calypso segment,” said a member of the organizing committee.
The show has featured regional personalities inclduing the Caribbean Queen of Comedy Rachel Price and popular DJ/Radio host Lady Passion of Kool FM in Anguilla along with Calypso Queen Singing Sandra and dancehall sound Bass Odysseey.
This year will feature reigning and 8 time Calypso King of Trinidad and Tobago the Mighty Chalkdust along with one of the Caribbeans Top sound systems Wardadli Souljahs.
The Miss Personality and Marvelous Queen and Ring Bang Calypso Show was one of the highlight events on the entertainment calendar for St.Kitts in 2008. The show drew thousands and was praised for its extremely high standard and organization. The 2009 edition of the show will be held on May 9th 2009 at the P.A.M Headquarters.
