Government continues to ensure that members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force are professionally trained to meet the challenges faced in maintaining law and order.

Woman Police Constable Carol Matthew and Police Constable Carl Gordon are attending an Advanced Criminal Investigations Course at the Regional Police Training Center in Barbados.

The course targets officers who have been exposed to the junior aspects of criminal investigations training, on the supervision of criminal investigations, and to the concepts of achieving results within the constraints of time, available human resources, materials and equipment.

Deputy Commandant at the Regional Police Training Centre in Barbados, Mr. Rodney Archer, said upon completion of the training programme, participants will be able to effectively supervise the investigations of criminal matters, equipment themselves with those skills which would strengthen their abilities to function as professional investigators and link concepts of information, instrumentation and interviewing with the overall structure of investigations.
