Describing the new decade as very promising, St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas called on nationals to take advantage of every opportunity provided in the economy to realize the goals that are within reach.
He told the Nation that plans and activities outlined, is not on a shelf in a Government Department, but many of the projects and initiatives are ongoing.
“Christophe Harbour and Coast to Coast Development are already happening; Kittitian Hill and Beaumont Park are already happening; Marriott Vacation Club, Silver Reef, Ocean’s Edge and Sunrise Villas are already happening. The construction and sale of residences at Beacon Heights, Dewar’s Estate and Buckley’s are ongoing. The geothermal energy project is already happening. Wind energy production is already happening. Hence, I am not pointing you to a “pie in the sky,” said Prime Minister Douglas.
He invited nationals and residents of St. Kitts and Nevis to embrace the vision for change and progress “outlined and to reach for the prize that is before us.”
Prime Minister Douglas asked nationals to look to the future with hope and optimism.
“I urge you to set ambitious goals as citizens of our Federation and to take advantage of every opportunity provided in the economy to realize these goals. I also urge you to embrace and adopt the national vision as your very own,” said Dr. Douglas who expressed confidence that through united efforts “we will march steadfastly to that new society we are creating here in St. Kitts and Nevis.”
