Sky Safari Tours has stepped forward to show support for young people who choose to positively impact the lives of their peers.

The company donated 20 gift certificates to the Ministry of Youth Empowerment to award outstanding dorm leaders, volunteers and campers who participated in the July 18-28 Summer Residential Camp.

In a letter dated August 25, Sky Safari’s General Manager Crystal-Rayne Tomma thanked the Ministry for giving it the opportunity to contribute to youth development.

“As a reminder that we have the youth in mind and greatly appreciate those who continue to support them; we at Sky Safari Tours are offering a zipline to those who helped and contributed to the Summer Camp,” it said. The note encouraged persons to continue supporting youth initiatives “for years to come.”

Reservations Manager Tara Hendrickson presented the certificates to Senior Youth Officer Diane Dunrod-Francis and Chereca Weaver. The officials expressed appreciation for the contribution and hailed the company for coming forward to contribute to youth empowerment.

The 2010 Summer Residential Camp was held under the theme, “Positioned To Make It Happen.” Two hundred and thirty campers and 47 dorm leaders and support staff participated at the event held at the Beach Allen School.
