Game Ends Early Due To Altercation
Basseterre, St. Kitts – Nevis

August 26, 2012
Bird Rock Uprisers earned themselves a victory on Saturday evening after the Inner City Ballers essentially forfeited there game when they walked off the court over a dispute with the SKABA Games Committee. The Chairperson of the Games Commitee delivered a letter to the Molyneux based Inner City Ballers team during the 3rd quarter of the game informing them that one of their players was suspended as a result of an altercation with a referee in the Molyneux Basketball League.
This did not sit well with the Inner City Coach and Management staff who felt that the delivery of the letter was ill-timed. However the Games Committee contends that the letter was delivered electronically via email before the day of the game and the hand delivery only served as a follow-up. The Molyneux management is disputing this claim. In either case the Molyneux Inner City Ballers are out and the NATBank Bird Rock Uprisers are in the SKABA “A” Division Finals. It is unclear whether Inner City Ballers will file and official challenge or protest.
In Game 2 the surprise team of the season, the McKnight Trotters came out on top of the Rockers XI to earn themselves a spot in the finals. Trotters let at the half 43-40 and ended the game on top 71-63.
