St. Kitts – Nevis’ National Assembly To Meet

Seven bills will be debated when the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly meets on Tuesday.
Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Hon. Dr. Dennis Douglas will move the second reading of “The Noise Abatement Bill, 2008,” which had its first reading earlier this month and Attorney General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Hon. Dennis Merchant, will pilot through all three stages “The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (Saint Christopher and Nevis) Amendment Bill, 2008.
Minister of Finance, International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris will pilot through all three stages, “The Housing and Social Development Levy (Amendment) Bill 2008″ and “The Proceeds of Crime (Amendment) (No. 4) Bill, 2008.”
Minister of Health, Social and Community Development, Hon. Rupert Herbert will move the second reading of “The Non-Governmental Organisation Bill, 2008″ which had its first reading on July 31st.
The Vehicles and Road Traffic (Amendment) (No.2) Bill,” which had its first reading on November 11th will be piloted by Minister of Public Works, Utilities, Posts and Transport, Dr. the Hon. Earl Asim Martin and “The Saint Christopher Tourism Authority (licensing of Vendors) Bill, 2008 will be taken through all three stages by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Tourism, Sen. the Hon. Richard “Ricky” Skerritt.
“The Solid Waste Management Bill, 2008″ which stands in the name of the Minister of Health, Social and Community Development, Hon. Rupert Herbert will gets its first reading at Tuesday’s Sitting, which begins at 11:00 A.M.
