St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister and current Chairman of the Authority of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas has been invited to deliver the keynote address at dinner in his honour during ExpoCaguas 2009 in Puerto Rico.
Mayor of the Puerto Rican municipality, the Hon. William Miranda Marin has invited the St. Kitts and Nevis leader to attend ExpoCaguas 2009 with more than 100 exhibitors from Puerto Rico Latin America and the Caribbean.
Dr. Douglas will be welcomed at the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport by the Acting Mayor of Caguas, Ms. Lydia Riveria and Adviser of Foreign Affairs and Hon. Consul of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Efrain Vazquez-Vera on Tuesday afternoon.
He will attend the Opening Ceremony of Expo Caguas 2009 and tour the trade show on Wednesday morning with stops at OCES Booths.
Dr. Douglas will also visit the St. Kitts booth manned by the Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Ms. Diannielle Taylor, who is coordinating the booth on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism, the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, the Ministry of International Trade and the local private sector.
Healthcare services for nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis at the Hospital of the HIMA Group will also be discussed when Dr. Douglas visits the HIMA hospital.
A proposal to establish a ferry service in the northern islands of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States will be discussed with the President of Caribbean Ferries, Mr. Nestor Gonzalez.
During the dinner in his honour at which he will deliver the keynote address, Prime Minister Douglas will be presented with the keys to the City of Caguas.
