“It’s the first time the competition will be held at the brand new Silver Jubilee Athletic Stadium, which hosted the 2008 CARIFTA Games, last March,” he said. “Also this marks the first time that the local gold medalists from the World Games held in Shanghai, China will be competing at such a large scale organized contest on the local level.”
The athletes will compete in track and field events and also bocce, which is making its debut in the Federation. The spokesman added that exhibition races have also been planned by the St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee (SKNOC). He encouraged persons to go out to support the special athletes which brought home 15 gold medals from China.
