Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) pays courtesy call on Premier Parry

Federation based Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), His Excellency Mr. John K Liu, on Thursday 20 met and held discussions with newly elected Premier, the Hon Mr. Joseph Parry at his Administration office at Bath Plains.
 
The Ambassador was the first diplomat to pay courtesy call on Premier Parry, following his recent elections to office as Premier. He was accompanied by his wife and a three-man delegation when he arrived at the Premier’s office.

Sports Minister Assures Government Support For Sport

Charlestown Nevis (July 20, 2006)
Nevis’ Minister of Youth and Sports, the Honourable Mr. Hensley Daniel on Wednesday 19 July, said the Nevis Island Administration would ensure that more young people got involved in sports.
 
The Sports Minister made the comment while at the Charlestown Pier, to see the track and field team off to St Lucia. The team will participate in the Caribbean Union of Teachers track and field competition to be held on 21-23 July 2006.
 
“The Nevis Island Administration will double its efforts in so far as sports and development where young people are concerned. Sports are all part of the central process of social development and we look forward to working with the sports association,” said Minister Daniel.
