A Nevis delegation will be leaving the Federation this weekend to take part in the annual World Travel Market (WTM) in London, England from November 12-15, 2007.
The delegation, headed by Advisor in Tourism, Mr. Alistair Yearwood, includes Permanent Secretary, Mr. Tyrone O’Flaherty, personnel from the Nevis Tourism Authority, as well as local hoteliers.
WTM, celebrating its 14th year this year, provides a unique opportunity for the whole global travel trade industry to meet, network, negotiate, conduct business and stay abreast of the latest developments in the travel industry.
A record breaking 45,945 travel industry professionals participated at WTM 2006 and this year it is projected to be an even bigger event with a larger professional contingent.
The WTM event will offer education, debate and discussion on a variety of topics affecting the travel and tourism industry. Topics for discussion will include The Emerging Trends in the Global Online Travel Market, Staying Profitable in an Increasingly Competitive Travel Industry, The Impact of Social Media, Online Travel, 21st Century Travel, Health Tourism and a host of other travel related topics.
