Nevis’ own Coconut Grove Restaurant has for the 3rd year in succession received an Award of Excellence, from Wine Spectator magazine.

The award is given for wine lists that offer a well chosen selection of quality production, along with a complimenting menu in both price and style.

According to the Magazine, the award winning restaurant is located amongst a coconut grove on the most beautiful beach in Nevis and considered it to be one of the island’s finest eating and drinking establishments.

“The original architecture of this recently built restaurant is truly unique, with its thatched roof of palms and rough timber structure and decorated with a Balinese theme. The food is artfully prepared by Chef Ricky Finch in a fusion of French Cuisine with exotic flavors.

“Boasting the only awarded wine cellar on the island, the fine selection of world class wines are the perfect complement to your dining experience. Gary Colt Owner and founder of this restaurant is a master sommelier and personally selected all the wines. A balanced choice of American, European, South American and New Zealand will enchant you as you stroll in the cellar choosing your wine,” the Magazine said.

Wine Spectator.com, launched in October 1996, is believed to be the most influential source of wine information on the Internet.
