Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Joseph Parry congratulated Nevisian Poet, Ms. Vanessa Webbe at the launch of her collection of poems, “How About Poetry for Dessert?”

The book launch and signing took place at the Nevis Red Cross building on Chapel Street in Charlestown on Wednesday, November 5th.

During the launch, Premier Parry asked the audience to give Ms Webbe a round of applause as he stated, “The message of the book is powerful and all persons with children in their care, should encourage them to read it as well.”

Ms. Webbe, an officer with the Ministry of Tourism who hails from St. George’s Parish, said that writing the book was something she has wanted to do for some time and she thanks God for making it possible.

“I want to thank Mr. Rawlinson Isaac, the St. Kitts – Nevis Sea bridge Inc. and the Nevis Tourism Authority for making a dream that I have had become a great reality,” said Ms. Webb.

Also present at the launch was Deputy Premier and Minister with responsibility for Social Transformation, Hon. Hensley Daniel along with other members of the Nevis Island Administration.
