Four Seasons Resort After Hurricane Omar

Premier and Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Joseph Parry discussed his recent meeting with Four Seasons Resort top level Management team at the Sitting of Parliament at Hamilton House in Charlestown on Monday, January 26th, 2009.

Premier Parry, who was accompanied by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Laurie Laurence, represented the Nevis Island Administration in discussions with owner Maurice Wolf and homeowners of the Four Seasons Project, in regard to its restoration and re-opening.

The meeting which took place at the prestigious Carlyle Hotel in New York, was very useful and constructive, commented Premier Parry.

He went on to say that all stakeholders would like to see the Four Seasons Resort open as quickly as possible.

“Information given to us indicates that the Four Seasons Resort – Nevis will be re-opened; and over the next few weeks with continued planning and discussions, a clearer picture of an exact date will be reported,” said Premier Parry.

The Four Seasons Resort – Nevis was closed due to a surge caused by the passing of Hurricane Omar on October 16th, 2008.
