Antiguan-based British High Commission, Mr. Terence Knight on Tuesday 25 paid an introductory courtesy call on Premier, the Hon Mr. Joseph Parry.
They discussed a number of issues during a luncheon meeting at the Hermitage Plantation Inn. The British envoy who was accompanied by the Honorary British Consul based in St. Kitts, Mr. Peter Allcorn, also met with the Minister of Physical Planning, the Hon Mr. Robelto Hector during his visit.
Following the meeting, Premier Parry told the Government Information Service that he was honoured to have met with the British Commissioner and they both exchanged pleasantries and congratulatory remarks.
“What they informed me was that most of their assistance goes through the European Commission but expressed some interest in agriculture. I do believe that we would have more substantial and important discussions at a later date but right now it was just an introductory meeting,” Premier Parry said.
