Premier Parry With Culturama Beauty Queen Contest Contestants

As the island of Nevis prepares for the celebration of Culturama 2009, Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Joseph Parry met and congratulated six young ladies at his office at the Bath Hotel on Tuesday morning. The ladies who have become known as the sensational six are vying for the prestigious title of Culturama Queen 2009.
During the meeting, Premier Parry greeted each contestant and remarked, “I congratulate all the organizers and ladies taking part in this year’s Culturama Queen Show. As I look at them I see that they are really sensational and extremely lovely and I look forward to a wonderful show.”
The six beautiful ladies are Masinda Nisbett of Craddock Road, Mika O’Brien who hails from Bath Village, Fothergills is represented by Tatiana Dore, Kisandra Williams of Cotton Ground, Tamarele Browne is from Rawlins Village and Cindy Liburd is a native of Church Ground.
The Queen contestants, who wore business attire to meet the Premier, posed for pictures taken by the local media and also took part in a brief video exercise assisted by Nevis Television (NTV).
Meanwhile, Queen Show organizer, Ms. Marva Tyson said the occasion will be one of class and much originality as new and creative ideas have been added to this much anticipated show.
According to Ms. Tyson, Nevis will be celebrating 35 years of Culturama this year and the Fanfare, Troupe of parades, Food fair, Calypso show, Clash of the Bands and infectious local music will transform the streets and the atmosphere of the Capital City of Charlestown.
