Premier of Nevis Hon. Vance Amory welcomed the donation of Blackberry handsets to his Cabinet, a device which he assured would be used in their most important function of communicating.

Mr. Amory registered appreciation for the gesture after the presentation by LIME’s Corporate Accounts Managers Mrs. Eunice George and Mrs. Gillian Hector, during a brief ceremony at the Administration’s Cabinet Room at the Bath Hotel in Bath Plain on January 28, 2013.

“I want on behalf of the Nevis Island Administration and on my own behalf, to thank you very much for the donation you have made to us… I want to assure that we will use them, as you indicated, in our most important function that is to communicate, not only among ourselves but wherever possible and necessary with members of the public and the business community, as it is important that we keep in touch at all times,” he said.

The Premier noted that the equipment would be used effectively and thanked the principals of LIME for its generous donation.

“We have a piece of equipment, a tool which you have given us and I do promise that we will use it effectively.

“I want you to say to your principals, on our behalf, thanks very much for their kind gesture and we look forward to working in collaboration and cooperation with your company LIME. I wish to really thank you for your kindness to us this morning. Thank you and bless you,” he said.

Meantime, in her presentation Mrs. George explained that LIME was pleased to make the presentation to the new Nevis Island Administration.

“LIME is very pleased to make a presentation of the handsets that we have here – Blackberry – to the Nevis Island Administration. We want to congratulate you first on your elections and also to this new office, the second time around, sir, of Premier,” she said.

The Corporate Accounts Manager also reminded the Cabinet members that they should remember that LIME was interested in nation building as they used the tools that would assist them in their daily functions as executive members of the Administration.

“We hope that these Blackberry handsets that you will be using will indeed help to you to communicate easily and that as you use them you will remember that LIME is interested in nation building.

“We want to ensure that as you communicate with your colleagues within the Cabinet it is clear and you are using the 4G network that we have. So please make sure that as you use these handsets and you communicate with each other, you are doing so over a premium network. Again I want to say congratulations to you, to your Deputy Premier, the other Ministers of Government. May God bless you and may you have a successful term in Government,” she said.
