By this weekend, the governing St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party will be the only political party to have released a manifesto ahead of the January 25th general election.
The document will be officially launched with pomp and fanfare in Basseterre, the Federation’s capital on Saturday night at the new Football Stadium at Warner Park from 7:00 p.m.
With just over one week before the poll, the Labour Party is the only party to announce a date for releasing a manifesto.
It is widely speculated that the other opposition Party on St. Kitts, the People’s Action Movement has no plan and is just awaiting the release of the Labour Party manifesto.
“The document will highlight the party’s vision to further develop of the twin-island Federation over the next five years and beyond,” said Connor.
“It is a significant milestone for St. Kitts and Nevis,” said Connor, who said the launching will include the introduction of all 8 Labour Party candidates. Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, will make brief remarks following their introduction by youths from their respective constituencies.
A show, featuring international artiste, Haitian-born Wyclef Jean and several local acts including Infamus, the All Red Youth Team, Road March Champions, Grand Masters, Cashman and C-Money will be staged.
