Second Term Constituency #5 representative the Hon. Shawn K. Richards has described the latest court challenge brought by his defeated opponent in the recently concluded general elections Dr. Norgen Wilson as a “frivolous action that will result in the Labour Party and Dr. Wilson having to pay costs,”.
Wilson challenged the election of his opponent the Hon. Richards through a court petition which was served on Friday afternoon just a matter of days after declaring that he was not at all bitter over losing to Richards by an even larger margin than his predecessor Jacinth Henry-Martin.
“I welcome the challenge brought by Dr. Wilson and the Labour party as it would provide yet another opportunity for them to be embarrassed in the courts,” said MP Shawn Richards . “Just like the court cases brought before, labour will will lose and have to pay costs,” the Const #5 representative continued.
Despite the overwhelming incidents of fraud and electoral irregularities perpetrated by the ruling labor party Richards still managed to convincingly retain his seat in the 25 Jan., general elections beating Labour candidate and first timer Dr. Norgen Wilson.
