Joint St. Kitts – Nevis Federal Govt. Meeting Held

The Federal government of St.Kitts – Nevis and the Nevis Island Administration will have a joint cabinet meeting on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Marriott Hotel. This is the third in a series of joint meetings of the administrations.

The second meeting was hosted by the Nevis Island Administration under the charismatic Premier of Nevis, Hon. Joseph Parry at the wonderful, luxurious Mount Nevis Hotel.

Premier Joseph Parry said the committees are to meet on a regular basis to discuss important matters to both islands.

In the last meeting, Premier Parry stated. “It is good to see that we are able to establish a cordial relationship and we are able to make advances from that first meeting.

In the last meeting in July 2007, the matters of discussion were: Devolution of power for Nevis, national security, electoral reform, a new pension scheme, customs, and appointment to boards, diplomatic passports / visa and economic citizenship.
