Early morning walkers will carve out a new route during the Prime Minister’s Monthly Health and Wellness Walk on Saturday.

Organisers say Saturday’s route will begin at the Pogson Medical Centre in Sandy Point and end in Dieppe Bay. Previous walks were from Saddlers to Newton Ground; Newton Ground to Saddler’s and the most recent from St. Paul’s to the Pogson Medical Centre.

The Prime Minister’s Monthly walk has attracted persons from around the islands.

The walk starts at 5:30 A.M. and the usual transportation will be provided from Saddlers to Sandy Point and return. Participants usually enjoy a healthy breakfast at the end of the walk.

The Health and Wellness Walk is aimed at introducing healthy lifestyles.

“You must exercise daily. Watch what you eat. High blood pressure and diabetes are preventable diseases in most cases. Be healthy,” has been the advice from Prime Minister Douglas, a medical doctor and CARICOM’s point man on Health matters.

The monthly walk organised Minister of Finance, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris also takes place this Saturday from Belle Vue to the Hard Court in Ottley’s. It starts at 5:00 A.M.
