A significant enhancement to the third roundabout leading to the St. Kitts Marriott Resort, the Dr. Kennedy Simmonds Highway and the entrance to the beach at Frigate Bay.
General Manager of the Frigate Bay Development Corporation (FBDC), Mr. Rudy Morton said the roundabout has been adopted by the owners of the St. Kitts Marriott and the Royal Beach Casino “to bring more life to the area by enhancing it with a much more beautiful and upgraded environment.”
“In addition to the beautiful plants that adorn the area are three walkways that will allow persons to take shorter paths to the other side of the road without the hassle of traffic in the area,” Mr. Morton told the Communications Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister (CUOPM).
He said Bermuda grass has been planted and disclosed that benches will also be placed inside of the roundabout to accommodate those who would wish to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings or who would just wish to read a book or anything else of interest.
The front of the facility will carry a sign which will read: “Welcome To Frigate Bay Home of the St.Kitts Marriott, Royal St. Kitts Golf Club and Royal Beach Casino.”
The St.Kitts Coat of Arms as well as a history of the island will be displayed inside of the inner walls.
Mr. Morton said he hopes other businesses will come forward to enhance the other roundabouts in Frigate Bay.
