The St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee and LIME ““ Carnival’s premier sponsor ““ are preparing for the debut of their weekly Friday events on the heels of the successful Carnival Programme release party. The release party organized by the National Carnival Committee took place in Independence Square on Saturday, October 31.
Independence Square will be the venue again for the upcoming weekly Friday events, starting this Friday, November 6. The final Friday event will be held on December 11.
According to the Executive Director of Festivals, Allister Williams, the weekly promotional events in The Square will feature contestants for various shows as well as entertainers who are known for livening up Carnival.
This Friday, Lights Out Band and Tombstone International will provide the entertainment at the promotional event, which will run from 3:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.
Another highlight of the Friday events will be the giveaways that LIME plans to distribute to its customers in attendance.
Terrence Crossman, VP Corporate Sales for LIME, says the telecommunications provider continues to support National Carnival because of the role it plays in developing a strong national identity.
