Cupid Strikes In Nevis On Valentine’s Day

Cupid took aim at the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) on Thursday February 14, Valentines Day, as it distributed hundreds of fresh cut red and pink single stem roses to the women folk of Nevis, in keeping with the annual worldwide celebration of love and affection.
 
Area representatives with the assistance of volunteers throughout the island began their surprise personal deliveries as early as Wednesday night and continued throughout Thursday to the amusement of hundreds of happy women. Their reactions varied from hugs and beaming smiles to expressions of surprise at the gesture.
 
One day before the Ministry of Social Transformation on Nevis, showered a number of senior citizens with cultural presentations and refreshments at Cox Village in celebration of Valentines Day.
 
The Department of Information was present in the St. Pauls Parish with Hon Robelto Hector and in the St. Johns Parish with Deputy Premier Hon. Hensley Daniel and captured these pictures which reflected reactions islandwide.
