St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas Thursday afternoon welcomed the Campbell Sisters to the twin-island Federation.

The Toronto-Canada-based sisters, accompanied by their parents, paid a courtesy call on Dr. Douglas, at the start of their 5-day visit to St. Kitts.

“I am delighted that the Ministry of Young People to young people and for young people is being extended to the people, especially the young people of St. Kitts and Nevis. Your presence is an inspiration to young people in St. Kitts and Nevis and my government welcomes this opportunity to assist our young people,” said Dr. Douglas in his words of welcome.

The parents expressed an interest in setting a community programme to assist the youths of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The Campbell Sisters will perform at Warner Park Stadium on Friday 24th July at 7 pm; a Freedom Peace Concert on Saturday 25th July at 7 pm and a Youth Service at 6:00 pm.

The concerts on Friday and Sunday are free. But a love offering will be collected. Admission to the Saturday concert is EC$25.00 Persons attending as a group will pay EC$20.00 while children under 12 years will pay EC$10.00.

According to organisers Friday’s event to which all youth groups on St. Kitts are invited will see 12 groups performing on stage.
