British Airways Flight Can Boost Nevis Tourism

New Weekly Flight From London To Help Tourism

Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Joseph Parry welcomed a British Airways (BA) delegation to Nevis on Monday.

An elated Premier Parry said, “This inaugural trip means a lot for Nevis and I assure you that the visit will be a stimulus in getting the Four Seasons opened.”

The delegation consisted of Business Development Manager, Alison Nicholls, Public Relations Manager- Amanda Allan, Head of Sales UK and Ireland-Richard Tams, British Airways Marketing Officer-Karen Gordon, Procurement-Kong Lee, St. Kitts Tourism Consultant- Lisa Elmes Bosshard and Journalists-Alan Orbell, Joanne Gardner and Deidre Cunberbatch.

On Saturday, January 10th at 9p.m, the inaugural B.A Flight# 2157 arrived a few hours late at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport.  This direct service from the London, Gatwick Airport to St. Kitts will operate every Saturday.

The new service is expected to make a difference to citizens and visitors coming to the island, since it means that they would now be able to get to the destination quicker, easier and in some instances cheaper.

While on the island of Nevis, the B.A delegation undertook an island tour, following which they lunched at the Oualie Beach Hotel.  After lunch interviews were done with Jim Johnson of Top to Bottom ““Trail and Hiking, Ellis Chadderton of Scuba Safari and – Reggie Douglas of the Nevis Bike Club.

St. Kitts is now registered as the eleventh flight destination in the Caribbean for British Airways. According to Marketing Officer Ms. Karen Gordon, the St. Kitts-Nevis package offers an excellent get away for the discerning British tourist.
