The St. Kitts Marketing and Development Department is looking for an Investment Promotion Director and an Investment Facilitation Officer.
The two positions are available in keeping with plans by the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Administration to upgrade the Marketing and Development Department into the St. Kitts Investment Promotion Agency (SKIPA), which includes the One Stop Shop to help local and foreign investors establish their projects and become operational in St. Kitts.
The key duties of the Investment Promotion Director are to establish and manage the SKIPA’s Investment Promotion Department, which includes strategic planning, engaging in marketing and promotion efforts to reach targeted investors, facilitating investors’ exploration of the island conditions, performing aftercare services, liaising with Government Departments, preparing the Department’s budget, and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The job would require international travel.
Qualifications and Job Requirements include a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism, Finance/Banking, Real Estate, or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills.
Applicants must also have three years experience, ideally in the Private Sector, or in dealing with it; one year experience in a managerial position, dynamic, persistent and self-motivated, strong interpersonal, networking and communication skills and a driver’s license.
The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The key duties of the Investment Facilitation Officer are to assist in establishing and operating the SKIPA’s Investment Facilitation Department (known as the “One Stop Shop”), which includes providing excellent hands-on establishment and post-establishment services to local and foreign investors, and constantly coordinating with required Government Departments and Agencies to obtain the approvals related to establishment and operation of businesses.
Qualifications and job requirements of the Investment Facilitation Officer includes a Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Finance/Banking, Political Science, Law or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills.
The candidate must have a strong orientation towards service and customer satisfaction, a high level of determination and persistence and strong interpersonal and networking skills.
The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
