The role of the Crossing Guards and Traffic Wardens has been lauded by Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.
“You are providing a critical service to the general public. As the Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, I applaud the important role that you play to assist young children going to school, the physically-challenged and the elderly who are all important to us in a disciplined society,” said Dr. Douglas, who assumed the national security portfolio recently.
Dr. Douglas lauded the efforts of the traffic wardens who provide support to the Traffic Department.
“Your role is critical in supporting law enforcement and ensuring discipline on the streets and adherence to the traffic laws of the Federation to ensure safety of those who use our streets. Your services are needed and it should not be taken for granted,” said Prime Minister Douglas.
As Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Dr. Douglas listened to the concerns and ideas of the crossing guards and traffic wardens and several solutions were arrived at.
